Junction 4 Pallets has taken on Business Development Manager, Ian Barnes, a former armed forces member and pallet collections expert.
Speaking about his background, Barnes says:
“I spent quite a lot of years in the Armed Forces. My initial background is in communications. When I left the Armed Forces, I still worked, for a period of time, in the communications industry.
“I also worked in the construction industry for ten years, working with house builders, demolition contractors, and licensed asbestos removal contractors. From there I worked for a pallet company.”
When asked about his experience with pallet collections, Barnes says:
“Coming from working in the construction industry to working in the pallet industry, I can see the revenue that can be built from surplus pallets, and I can see what’s achievable. It’s a case of training the right people to see what they’re missing out on.”
Speaking about his new role, Ian Barnes says:
“What I like about being part of Junction 4 Pallets is that it’s a company that is continually growing and if you look at the growth that’s happened over the last three or four years, it’s just getting bigger, and it is great to be involved and grow with that company.”
Ian Barnes also adds that Junction 4 Pallets impressed him:
“It’s very impressive. Junction 4 has got a clear strategy in terms of the direction that the company is moving towards, and they’ve got a clear expectation of the staff that work here, and the staff know that. Everybody is on the same page and they’re wanting to help the company grow.
“It’s nice to have the rules and the procedures that you need to follow clearly laid out because it makes you a better person and it keeps you focused. Junction 4 Pallets is one of those workplaces where people will let you get on with your job because they know that you can do your job.”
