We have over 25 years of new pallet design experience, new pallets are initially designed using Pallet Design Software (PDS), a tool created & refined since 1984 in collaboration with Virginia Tech University in the United States, which is exclusively available through our National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) membership.
Within the pallet design process there are multiple considerations, particularly pallets for our building product and construction industry customers. We need to understand how heavy the product going on the pallet will be, how the product will be loaded, whether it will be in direct contact with the pallet, in what conditions it will be stored, and how the product will be stored on racking and what the requirements are for the receiving customers. These and a number of other factors contribute to the final design. Once the pallet design has been finalised, we encourage customers to complete sample pallet testing to ensure the pallet meets all of their requirements.
Once we have designed the right pallet, we then move to the fulfilment process. Delivering in full loads, on the right type of vehicle, in a timely manner is an essential part of creating good working relationships with our customers. Additionally, understanding and managing your site requirements is equally important. We consider the size and space available to you in your facilities, your material handling equipment (MHE) that you use as well as the operational time constraints on your business.
Not only can we help you obtain the right pallet, but we can also help you to clear surplus pallets that are no longer required. Unused pallets can quickly build up and take precious yard space. Increasingly our customers, within the construction sector, are looking to have their surplus pallets reused or recycled, so we know it is more important than ever to offer you a sustainable alternative to waste.
